George Newman named to Thinkers50 Radar Class of 2026

George Newman, an associate professor of organizational behaviour and human resources, management and marketing at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, has been named to the Thinkers50 Radar Class of 2026.
The Thinkers50 Radar identifies 30 up-and-coming thinkers whose ideas are predicted to have an important impact on management thinking.
Newman is a psychologist and cognitive scientist who studies creativity, identity and the construction of meaning. His research explores how people generate, evaluate and sustain innovative ideas.
He has published more than 60 articles in leading academic journals, and his work has been featured in outlets including The New York Times, Scientific American, The Wall Street Journal and The Economist. In addition to his research, he teaches executive seminars on marketing and management topics.
His first book, How Great Ideas Happen: The Hidden Steps Behind Breakthrough Success, was published by Simon & Schuster.
