Elizabeth Dhuey recognized by Canadian Women Economists Committee

Elizabeth Dhuey, a professor of economics in U of T Scarborough's department of management, has been recognized with the Sylvia Ostry Service Award by the Canadian Women Economists Committee (CWEC).
The biannual award is presented to an economist who has furthered the status of women in the field.
Dhuey was recognized for her contributions to broadening representation and boosting the professional development of women within U of T and across Canada. As past president and then chair of the CWEC, she led efforts to commission the Canadian Workplace Climate Survey and author accompanying reports, providing the most comprehensive picture to date of the professional climate and systemic barriers women navigate in the Canadian economics field.
Dhuey holds a graduate appointment at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE)'s department of leadership, higher and adult education, in addition to cross-appointments to the U of T Centre for Industrial Relations & Human Resources, the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, the department of economics and the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.
