U of T staff, librarians recognized with Excellence Through Innovation Awards

Five individuals and 15 project teams or groups have been recognized with 2025-26 Excellent Through Innovation Awards (ETIA).
The institutional award program acknowledges and celebrates contributions by administrative staff and librarians towards U of T's mission in five areas: enriching the student experience; promoting and advancing equity, diversity and inclusion; elevating the employee experience; improving administrative or operational processes; and fostering community connection.
The five individual winners are:
- Colin Gibson, culture & inclusion and academic affairs officer, department of medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine
- Jeff Burrow, special projects officer, Office of the Vice-President and Provost
- Mark Adkins, psychometrician and project manager, Office of the Associate Dean, MD program, Temerty Faculty of Medicine
- Shannon Simpson, executive director, Indigenous initiatives, Office of the Vice-President and Provost and Office of the Vice-President, People Strategy, Equity & Culture
- Sobiga Vyravanathan, curriculum and education coordinator, Institute of Medical Science, Temerty Faculty of Medicine
